In Jakarta, there are some government schools, SMP Negeri, which also conduct an open and distance learning system. The school is called “SMP Terbuka”. SMP Terbuka has different system from regular SMP Negeri. When students in SMP Negeri go to school everyday, students of regular SMP Negeri don’t need to do it. They just come to once a week for a tutorial. If students of Regular SMP Negeri can meet their teachers everyday, the students of SMP Terbuka cannot. So, they mostly study with their modules. They can learn the modules anywhere and anytime. On a certain day, they come to school to see their tutor for tutorial. In the tutorial, they can ask the problems they find from the modules to their tutors.
